VIDEO: Randy Bachman on Inspiration, Storytelling and Taking Care of Business

When you're signing your autograph in concrete, you know you've made it. Randy Bachman has done just that on the Canadian Walk of Fame as part of his first band, The Guess Who. After that came BTO - Bachman Turner Overdrive - and he's a successful solo artist in his own right. That's not all, oh no. Randy Bachman hosts Vinyl Tap (quite possibly the best name for a radio show, ever) each Sunday night on CBC Radio 2, recounting some of his favourite tales from life on the road as a Canadian musical icon and playing his favourite songs.

Now, Randy and friends are taking Vinyl Tap out on the road, touring all across the country. All remaining tickets go on general sale on Friday (November 9) at 10am, but until 10pm (local time) tonight (November 7) there's an exclusive pre-sale brought to you by CBC Music. Check out the site for the password you'll need.

We got together with Randy to talk about telling stories, his inspiration, and to find out just what it's like to perform live in front of thousands upon thousands of fans:

During Guitar Month on CBC Music, Randy Bachman has been talking ten guitars that changed music forever. Check out the start of the series.
