VIDEO: Gerry Dee on 'Mr. D' and Being a Bad Teacher

Comedian and former teacher, Gerry Dee, is the star and creator of CBC's newest comedy, Mr. D, which premieres tomorrow night at 8 pm/ 8:30 NT. The show is inspired by Gerry's real adventures as a teacher.

"I was a phys ed guy, that was all I really knew," Gerry tells us. "So, my character is out of his element. Doesn't think he is - he thinks he's doing a great job - but, not really."

We got a sneak peek of the first episode and we're already big fans. Definitely a show you'll tell your friends to watch. We can't believe someone as smart and talented as Gerry could have possibly been that bad, but it sure makes for good TV.

Check out my interview with Gerry about how bad he actually was and how show came to be:

You can follow Gerry on Twitter @gerrydee and be sure to follow Mr. D @mrd_on_cbc.
