VIDEO: CBC Stars Strut Down the Runway at TFI25

The Toronto Fashion Incubator celebrated 25 years with a star-studded runway show at the Royal Ontario Museum. TV and film celebrities showed up to strut their stuff as part of the Barbie dress competition. CBC stars Anne-Marie Mediwake, Lauren Hammersley, and Georgina Reilly walked the runway in original Barbie inspired gowns for an enthusiastic crowd.

Anne-Marie Mediwake who has been involved with TFI for four years described the organization's initiatives, "[TFI] brings in emerging designers, ones with great talent, but a lot of times they need a kickstart, they need someone to help them get into the industry. It's expensive being a Canadian designer, a lot of them can't do it without corporate or financial backers. So TFI teaches them the business aspects of it, they help them get their name out there, and they give them a workspace."

The event at the ROM attracted a who's who of Canadian fashion for a good cause. Check out our video of the event:
