The 2012 Banff Media Festival is now in full swing and we talked to some of the stars and executives of CBC who shared their thoughts on the importance of the festival and the opportunities it offers the public broadcaster and independent producers.
Arlene Dickinson, of Dragons' Den, said, "I'm really excited about the ideas. You come to a place like this and you want to hear what people are thinking about what's going to happen next in media and all the great thinking that's going on..."
Kirstine Stewart, Executive Vice President of English Services at CBC, said that Banff "is incredibly important, because it brings all these independent producers together. CBC, as a broadcaster, commissions more programming from Canadian producers than all of the other broadcasters combined."
