VIDEO: Canada Reads Launches Turf Wars

CBC's literary battle of the books will get underway on February 11 with the first of four live debates. Ultimately, one of the five books will be named the winner of Canada Reads: Turf Wars. Battling it out for their respective regions are: Jay Baruchel, defending Two Solitudes by Hugh MacLennan; Charlotte Gray, defending Jane Urquhart's Away; Carol Huynh, defending Richard Wagamese's Indian Horse; Ron MacLean defending David Bergen's The Age of Hope; and Trent McClellan, defending Lisa Moore's February.

Yesterday (November 29), Canada Reads host Jian Ghomeshi was on hand to introduce the panelists and the authors of their books, if they could be there. We spoke with everyone after the launch, finding out how they plan to defend their books and more. Watch the video below:
