Spend Your May Long Weekend With CBC Stars!

Canadians experience CBC through radio, TV, a variety of digital-interwebz initiatives such as the one you're visiting now.

But this May long weekend in Toronto, you're invited to experience the CBC in a completely different way, a way that will let you meet the stars and immerse yourselves in a "multi-sensory, multi-media" story of Canada.

Here's how you do it: From May 16 - 19, visit the CBC Broadcast Centre in Toronto. That weekend, the CBC is opening its doors.

In the atrium, you'll be able to meet CBC journalists and actors in person. Through the day, every day, personalities such as Peter Mansbridge, Wendy Mesley, George Stroumboulopoulos, Jian Ghomeshi will appear in moderated conversations and meet and greets.

So will the stars of your favourite CBC TV shows: Republic of Doyle, Arctic Air, Mr. D and more.

Want to know how CBC stars ranging from Amanda Lang to David Sutcliffe got their start in TV? There's a panel for that. Same goes for discussions on Canadian comedy, music, and top programs like Marketplace and Murdoch Mysteries.

Canada will truly be living in the CBC Broadcast Centre this May long, and the "Canada Lives Here Experience" will be in the house, too.

The "Experience" is that "multi-sensory" exhibit we mentioned earlier - something a little like a flashback to Expo '67, but more like something you've never seen before.

Once inside the exhibit -- which will immerse you in sound and vision and stories -- you'll see how CBC News, CBC Music, CBC stars and CBC Sports bring us all together in a national conversation. At the end, you'll be invited to share your own Canadian story as part of an interactive video installation.

More info on the exhibit can be found at the Canada Lives Here website. Tickets are free, but you'll need to register your spot in advance. (Register here.)

Look forward to further announcements about the Canada Lives Here Experience.
