What a year 2012 has been inside studio Q with Jian Ghomeshi. Between musicians, actors, novelists, artists and politicians, Jian has sat down with the who's who of our cultural shapers and has had some of the most interesting interviews - and performances - on the airwaves. We asked the Q team to tell us their top guests of 2012, so without further ado, here they are (in no particular order):

J.K. Rowling

The bestselling British author of the Harry Potter series spoke to Jian about her first novel for adults; A Casual Vacancy.

The frontman of The Smashing Pumpkins joined Jian inside studio Q for a feature interview about the band, taking a break, the fans and the latest record.

Spike Lee

Filmmaker Spike Lee took the time to stop into studio Q to discuss his new documentary; BAD 25, which takes a critical look at Michael Jackson and his impact on the music world 25 years after the release of BAD.
