Throwback Thursday: Martin Short Talks Second City to TV Transition in 1980

Martin Short has taken the road to stardom like many fellow Canadian comedians. Starting out at Second City in Toronto, Martin crossed the border in hopes of making the transition to television and film. With several successful movies and shows under his belt throughout his career, I'd say Martin made the right move. However, back in 1980, things had just gotten started.


Take a look at a then 30-year-old Martin on The Bob McLean Show as he talks to Bob about making the successful transition from Second City, to Saturday Night Live and other U.S. gigs:
