The hottest toys for kids this holiday season, according to Toys 'Я' Us, range anywhere from a Wii U system to One Direction Collector Dolls - a far cry from what kids in 1969 wrote down on their wish lists to Santa. In fact, creative toys dominated the Canadian Toy Testing Council's recommendations for gifts during that holiday season including Playplax and Spirograph (pause for those who need to do a quick Google search).
On an episode of Take 30, CBC's Adrienne Clarkson and Paul Soles got a look into Santa's 1969 workshop with the must-have toys from council's Jasmine Pocock. Take a look:
