The Strombo Show App

It's 8pm on a Sunday night. Hankering for some good music? There's only one place to go. To CBC Radio 2 (in the extremely unlikely event that you're not already tuned in) to sit back and let the spirit of radio, the Strombo Show dominate your lugholes.

It's a radio show like no other in Canada, commercial free and made purely by music lovers, for music lovers. George Stroumboulopoulos and his team choose all the music you hear and include lots of requests by from listeners plus let the occasional musician or guest take over for a few records.

We're very proud of the show, and now it's even easier for you to listen and be a part of it. With the new Strombo Show app (available for your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch on the iTunes App Store) George is inviting you, the listener, to make requests - just use the app to send yours. Each one will go directly to George and the team behind the Strombo Show (myself included - just in case you were thinking of using the 'include picture' option to send a sexy pic) and, well, you'll just have to listen to find out if your request makes it.

Not only that, you can now listen to Strombo Shows of old on demand. If you've missed an episode or are just simply a newcomer and want to hear some of the old shows, this is for you. Once you get going, one of my favourite things is that you can very easily scroll through the show and keep listening while using other applications.

Each Sunday you'll hear the week's choicest new cutlets in the Magnificent Seven countdown, Ten With Tom (our visit with Dad) and listen out for appearences from the CanConDon with the best in new Canadian Hip Hop and myself taking you on a musical jaunt around the world.
