The British Academy of Film and Television Arts, or BAFTA, hosted their awards ceremony in London today (12th), and there was one clear winner. The Artist, from French director Michel Hazanavicius, picked up seven awards, including best film, best director and best actor (Jean Dujardin).
A lot of the film world's biggest names were at the ceremony hosted by Stephen Fry, including nominees Brad Pitt and George Clooney. Unfortunately for them, they both went home empty handed. Christopher Plummer, who wasn't in attendance, won his 13th award for his role as Hal in Beginners and is still odds-on favourite to take home the Oscar in the same category.
The other acting awards went to Meryl Streep and Octavia Spencer. Check out the biggest winners and some photos from the evening below:
