PHOTOS: CBC Authors Fête the Writers' Trust

2012 has been a hell of a year for CBC personalities and their respective books. At one point Jian Ghomeshi, Rick Mercer and Jim Treliving occupied the top three spots on the nation's bestseller list. Add to that recently released books from Amanda Lang, Gerry Dee and another in Stuart McLean's Vinyl Cafe series, and you have quite the repertoire.


It's no surprise, then, that a lot of CBC authors were invited to the Writers' Trust gala held at Toronto's Four Seasons hotel. Raising funds for the programs of the Writers' Trust of Canada, the night was co-hosted by Amanda Lang and Zaib Shaikh while Executive Vice President of English Services at CBC, Kirstine Stewart, co-chaired the event with Scotiabank's Luc Vanneste.


A true celebration of Canadian literature, check out some of the photos from last night's event that raised almost $200,000 going towards award ceremonies like the Hilary Weston Prize for Non-fiction and much more:
