Murdoch Mysteries Comes to CBC

One of Canada's best loved dramas, Murdoch Mysteries, will come to CBC for its sixth season. It's been on the air since 2008, produced by Shaftesbury, whose Chairman and CEO Christina Jennings said, "with so many stories left to tell, we look forward to finally bringing Murdoch Mysteries to a national audience and growing our passionate fan base in partnership with the team at CBC."

The series is based on the popular Detective Murdoch novels by Maureen Jennings, set in late-1890s Toronto. It stars Yannick Bisson, Hélène Joy, Jonny Harris and Thomas Craig. Canadian heavyweights Gorden Pinsent and Victor Garber have guested on the show and it has also managed to pull in some high profile cameo appearances from the likes of Measha Brueggergosman, Arlene Dickinson (check out our video as we went behind the scenes with her on the set) and Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

CBC's 22 Minutes spoofed this Prime Minister Harper's appearance in this clip...

Now, take a look at a behind-the-scenes video featuring the actual PM.
