You've got the talent, you've got a show. You just need to figure out how to get it on the air.

Wednesday, Oct. 23 CBC insiders including Mr. D creator Gerry Dee told a crowd at the Toronto Broadcast Centre how they got their shows on CBC, and you can hear those secrets right here.

Dee, along with Chris Boyce (Executive Director of CBC Radio and Audio), Sandra Kleinfeld (Director of Development for Studio and Unscripted Programming) and the hosts of CBC Radio's How to Do It, Josh Bloch and Sarah Treleaven, featured in a special panel on "How to Pitch Your Show to the CBC."

The "How to Pitch to CBC" panel was just one segment in a full hour of CBC insider chatter. The show also featured an interview with CBC Sports reporter Scott Russell. (Get the latest from his Road to Sochi.) Royal correspondent Bonnie Brownlee shared the latest on today's Royal Christening. Plus, we got behind-the-scenes entertainment news from CBC's Deana Sumanac and Garvia Bailey.
