
The line-up for Toronto's sixth annual Luminato festival was always sure to impress, sure to feature some big names from the world of music, theatre, dance, literature and the like - it's a festival of creativity. Impress it does.
Canadian superstar K'naan will headline the musical aspect of the festival, with the likes of Rufus Wainwright, Loreena McKennit, Kathleen Edwards and Dan Mangan adding to the highlights. Philip Glass, one of the highest profile classical composers there is will also head to Canada.
Robert Lepage is one of Canada's most honoured theatre artists, and he'll bring his latest work, Playing Cards. Israel's internationally acclaimed Batsheva Dance Company hit our shores and Scottish author of Trainspotting and Glue, Irvine Welsh, will be part of the literature aspect of the festival along with Richard Ford and Vincent Lam.
