She's known for the hit "A Little More Work." (The sassy boot-stomper's even nominated for Video of the Year at the 2013 Canadian Country Music Association Awards
.) And with the CCMA Awards going down Sunday, Sept. 8 on CBC, double-nominee Kira Isabella
only has a little more time to put a little more work into her green-carpet look.
But earlier this summer, CBC Live met up with the singer so we could give her a jump on her CCMA Awards style. Coming up with the perfect CCMAs hair takes effort, and in some cases an industrial quantity of hairspray. So we paired Isabella up with a Toronto hair guru: Taz Hair Co.
stylist and owner Daniel Naumovski
, who helped her achieve a look that's the definition of modern country glam.
Will it be the same as what she sports on show night? You'll have to watch the awards on CBC.
But the coif, which Naumovski explains how to create in the video below, fits perfectly with this pop-country sweetheart's girlish sensibility.
"I love big curls, lots of volume," Isabella told CBC Live -- and even though she names Dolly Parton as her country style hero ("I love her crazy bling and big hair") expect her look on CCMA Awards night to be a little softer and sleeker than the B-52 'dos of the legendary superstars of C&W.
Watch Kira Isabella tease her CCMA Awards hairstyle in the video:
The CCMA Awards air on CBC Sunday, Sept. 8 at 8 p.m. (8:30 NT).
