With preparations well underway in Saskatoon for the Canadian Country Music Association Awards - happening tomorrow (Sept. 9) - event organizers will be rolling out the green carpet for all of the star arrivals and CBC Live has got you covered.
Straight from the 'John Deere Green Carpet', CBC Live will stream live all of the celebrity arrivals and backstage moments - hosted by CBC News Arts Reporter Deana Sumanac and CBC Radio 2 Morning host Tom Power.
Fans will get to view CBC Live's live stream beginning at 3:00 to 4:15 pm (5:00 to 6:15 pm ET) as Deana and Tom share everything during the pre-gala show including the glamorous green carpet fashion. But it gets even better... With the help of social media, fans can join in on all of the award show fun on Twitter using the hashtag #CountryNightInCanada. The online coverage continues at 5:00 pm (7pm ET) when Deana and Tom give you backstage pass to exclusive interviews from the presenters, nominees and winners. You'll definitely want to check it out with some of the biggest names in country music who will be there like Dean Brody, Johnny Reid, Gord Bamford and Paul Brandt, as well as superstars Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Eric Church and Miranda Lambert.
As previously announced, some of your favourite CBC personalities will also be at the CCMA Awards as presenters like Republic of Doyle's Allan Hawco, Heartland's Amber Marshall and Graham Wardle and Over the Rainbow host Daryn Jones, while CBC Music's Lana Gay is set to be the voice of the night.
The 2012 CCMA Awards will be broadcasted on CBC at 8 pm (8:30 NT).
