CBC Books Wants You to Shape the Culinary Map of Canada

"What cookbooks do you really need in your kitchen to understand my home?"

That's the question CBC Books and CBC Radio have teamed up to ask experts from around the country. Their goal was to build a culinary map of Canada, from coast to coast to coast - the Cross-Country Cookbook Shelf. Now, the experts have come up with a list of five cookbooks (like Fresh by John Bishop or Garde Manger by Chuck Hughes) for each province or region in the country, listed below:

1. The North 2. British Columbia 3. Alberta 4. Saskatchewan

5. Manitoba 6. Ontario 7. Quebec 8. Newfoundland and Labrador

9. New Brunswick 10. Nova Scotia 11. Prince Edward Island

Now, it's your turn. CBC Books want you to narrow the list of the five culinary classics down to one single title that best represents the food from your "home and native land".

You have until June 27 to vote, and there are prizes up for grabs from Random House Canada and the CBC Shop (including a $150 gift certificate).
