2011 truly has been the year of year of Ryan Gosling... let us count the ways:

- he starred in three hit films: Crazy Stupid Love, Ides of March and Drive.
- he received two leading actor Golden Globe nominations, one for Crazy, Stupid, Love and one for Ides of March.
- he allegedly refused an offer to be named  People's Sexiest Man of the Year. Fan outrage ensued when
  he didn't receive the title. 
- he was just named Time Magazine's "Coolest Person of the Year" 
- he stopped a fight in NYC and the video went viral.
- he's made countless best dressed lists (Esquire, GQ, Glamour to name a few) and his every move is celebrated -
  from trips to Paris with girlfriend Eva Mendes to ballet class. 

And he's also been the inspiration for the "Hey Girl" meme, one of our favorites of the year. It started with F*** Yeah Ryan Gosling, then Feminist Ryan Gosling, then Ryan Gosling Works in Publishing. There's Typographer Ryan Gosling and even TO Poli Wonk Ryan Gosling too.

It appeared to us at CBC Live that the man born in London, Ontario and raised in Cornwall needed a "CBC Ryan Gosling" .
