If you're not yet familiar with/addicted to Pinterest.com, get ready. According to Mashable.com it's quickly grown to be the third most popular social network in the U.S., right after Facebook and Twitter.
I recently introduced the social site to Steven and Chris on their show. It allows you to "pin" images from any website, then organize and share them - which is essentially the digital, more social, more awesome version of tearing out pages from a magazine and pinning them to a board. Check out the clip to learn more about why we love it and how to use it:
CBC on Pinterest
Steven and Chris immediately signed up to Pinterest and are creating great lifestyle boards, like a collection of "Food + Recipes", "DIYs" and "Home Decor". We love their taste in just about everything, so we look forward to what they have to share.
George Stroumboulopoulos has been pinning away as well. The tastemaker shares everything from his favourite "Street Art" to images of his favourite "Music & Rekkids" to pics from "The Road" and backstage photos. He's mentioned a little bit of insomnia many times on his shows, so we expect him to be a very prolific pinner.
CBC Music is curated by some pretty cool people and we like their "Canadiana" and "Neil Young" boards and we can't wait to see more artwork from their own awesome designers in their "From CBCMusic.ca" board.
If you have questions about using or finding CBC people on Pinterest, ask me in the comments below. I'm on Pinterest too, as Empirella, pinning things for all you career-focused ladies and gents. Happy pinning!
