CBC Music Gets in the Summer Groove with New Station

Summer is in full swing! It's time to fire up the barbecue, lounge on a lawn chair or cruise over to a beautiful beach. Add to that some hot tunes and you'll be ready for the summertime of your life.

CBC Music is here to help with the new limited-time station Summer Songs. This warm weather playlist was crowd sourced by CBC Music fans, so there's something for everyone.

Hear classics like Sly Stone's "Hot Fun In The Summertime" or today's sizzling tracks like Rudimental's "Feel The Love?" Maybe you want to heat things up with some hip hop like "The Humpty Dance" from Digital Underground, or mellow in the sun with The Beatles' "Here Comes The Sun" (but please don't forget the sunscreen).

And what summer jam would be complete without a little Beach Boys? (Rest assured you'll hear a tune or two.)

Listen to the free stream now at (you'll find it to the right of your screen in the web radio stations).

Be sure to check the site again this Saturday for another special station devoted entirely to cover songs. CBC Music promises to bring you great tracks like Coldplay's rendition of the Cuban hit "Chan Chan" and Michael BublĂ©'s re-imagining of The Bee Gees classic "To Love Somebody."

This will be for a limited time only, so catch these covers while you can.

Or tune in to any of the other 50 web channels for some more great music.
