CBC Books to Host Canada Reads Twitter Book Club

We're just over one month away from the Canada Reads 2013 showdown and in the meantime, you can join in on the virtual book club conversation with CBC Books. Starting tomorrow, and each Thursday in January leading up to the Turf Wars on February 11-14, CBC Books will host a weekly Twitter book club to discuss each of this year's selected finalists.

CBC Books will use the hashtags #canadareads and #CR13chat, so make sure you add them to your tweets to contribute and keep up with the conversation. In addition, the book club chats will all be posted on the CBC Books website, so you can see what others have said about the novels, authors, panelists and this year's literary competition.

The CBC Books Twitter Book Club chats are scheduled as follows:

Thursday, January 3: Indian Horse by Richard Wagamese (representing British Columbia and the Yukon with Carol Huynh defending)

Thursday, January 10: The Age of Hope by David Bergen (representing the Prairies and the North with Ron MacLean defending)

Thursday, January 17: Away by Jane Urquhart (representing Ontario with Charlotte Gray defending)

Thursday, January 24: Two Solitudes by Hugh MacLennan (representing Quebec with Jay Baruchel defending)

Thursday, January 31: February by Lisa Moore (representing the Atlantic Provinces with Trent McClellan defending)

The book club starts tomorrow (Jan 3) at 2 pm. Happy tweeting!
