On Monday night (November 12), The Writers' Trust of Canada awarded Candace Savage the prestigious Hilary Weston Prize for non-fiction. A Geography of Blood: Unearthing Memory from a Prairie Landscape shines a whole new light on the history of Saskatchewan's Cypress Hills and, as well as winning her the prize, scored her a cheque for $60,000.
