Yes, you read that correctly. Andrew Lloyd Webber Musicals: Sing and Dance is coming to the Nintendo Wii. For all aspiring Dorothys out there that didn't make it to the top 20 for CBC's Over the Rainbow you can now recreate the experience of singing his songs on stage in the comfort of your own home.
Over the Rainbow - coming to CBC this fall - is searching for a Dorothy for Mirvish's Toronto production of the Lloyd Webber musical The Wizard of Oz. With this new game, you'll be able to perform thirty-two of Lord Lloyd Webber's best known musical numbers like Any Dream Will Do and Don't Cry For Me Argentina. Songs from Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar and the Phantom of the Opera will also feature.
And as if that's not enough, a multitude of talents from the world over have lent their services to the game. You'll have the chance to "duet" with many stars of the world stage, like Donny Osmond, Sarah Brightman, Michael Crawford - the original Phantom - and Boyzone.
With single player and multiplayer, it's not just your singing skills you'll be able to work on. As the title suggests, there's dancing too. Look out those red slippers again, ladies. Fellas, dust off that technicolor dreamcoat.
