32nd Genie Awards Presenters Revealed

They're only one week away, The 32nd Genie Awards. We'll be coming to you live from downtown Toronto (Thursday March 8) for the biggest night in Canadian film. Join CBC TV in their broadcast of the awards ceremony, and join us here at CBC Live where we'll be streaming live from the Red Carpet, from the Pre-Show and from backstage at the ceremony itself.

Today, CBC and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television have announced the star studded line up of presenters you'll see at the Genies. Joining musical guests K'naan, the Sheepdogs and Johnny Reid at the ceremony alongside hosts George Stroumboulopoulos and Andrea Martin (as well as the voice of the Genies, Rossif Sutherland) are some of the biggest names in Canadian entertainment...


Gordon Pinsent - The legendary actor has three Genies to his name (and an Etrog) and was most recently seen in CBC's Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town.


Adam Beach - The Golden Globe nominee is now starring in CBC's Arctic Air and was seen in last summer's blockbuster Cowboys & Aliens.


Allan Hawco - The man behind Republic of Doyle - its creator, writer and star.


Zaib Shaikh - Star of Little Mosque on the Prairie, Zaib will soon be seen in Deepa Mehta's Midnight Children.


Jason Priestley - Ladies, enough with the screaming. Calm down. Call Me Fitz's Jason Priestley is no stranger to awards ceremonies. He's been nominated for numerous awards, from the Geminis to the Golden Globes.


Karine Vanasse - Currently starring in Pan Am, Karine Vanasse is a Genie Award and Jutra Award winner.


Sarah Gadon - She stars in the Genie nominated A Dangerous Method from David Cronenberg. She'll be seen in his latest, Cosmopolis, as well as David's son Brandon's debut feature Antiviral.


Tyler Labine - Tyler Labine starred on the big screen in the utterly awesome Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. If you haven't seen the movie - check it out. Seriously.


Gregory Smith - Host of the show George Stroumboulopoulos had a cameo alongside Gregory Smith in Hobo With a Shotgun, but Smith is perhaps best known for his role as Dov Epstein in Rookie Blue.


Cassie Steele - She's currently starring in The L.A. Complex, and you might remember her from seasons past of Degrassi.


Fefe Dobson - A two time Juno award winner, Fefe's making the move from stage to screen. She's currently shooting a movie in Toronto.


Gabrielle Miller - Miller starred in the hugely popular Corner Gas, and is now starring alongside Jason Priestly in Call Me Fitz.


Kim Coates - Coates stars in Sons of Anarchy, the Golden Globe winning television series and is currently starring in the number one film in Canada, Goon.
