The New Face of Mercy...

The New Face of Mercy...

Hi Mosque-teers,

Welcome to the newest season of Little Mosque on the Prairie! Perhaps you've noticed a few changes in Mercy already...

If you caught the first episode of the new season, you already know that there is a new guy in town. Reverend William Thorne, played by the hilarious Brandon Firla, has come to take over Mercy Anglican.

I know a lot of you are going to miss Duncan Magee--who, true to character, has gone to Nunavut to serve the people there--but the truth is, no one is going to miss him more than Amaar! Magee and Thorne couldn't be more different when it comes to the Muslims of Mercy. (if you are interested is knowing more about the 'why,' check out what the executive producer of the show has to say.

Obviously, we've known about this for a long time, since the writers have been feverishly working away in their dark cubby since late January. We hinted at it a few times courtesy our twitter page, but we didn't want to spoil the surprise before launch.

By the way, if you are not following us on Twitter, you should be! You can find us at

The other change on Little Mosque is the website. We've kept all of the great content from previous years, and we've put it in what we think is a nice, easy to navigate site. Hope you like it. Some of the highlights:

We've updated the Episodes and Characters pages to include way more photos and information on all of your favourite characters, and soon we'll be adding a few of your less than favourite characters too! Check'em out.

Starting soon, we will be launching a new Little Mosque quiz with more great prizes. So watch the show every week, join up on facebook if you haven't already, and take part in the monthly quiz. Stay tuned.

A while back on the facebook page, we asked what features the fans would like to see more of. You said Fatima's recipes, and we've listened. You'll find six new recipes that'll knock your socks off--and remember, the extra chillies are optional, but recommended!

I know a few of you would like to get to know Reverend Thorne a little better, and he would certainly like to get to know you better. Keep your eyes peeled for exclusive new video content soon.

That's it for now, but thanks for watching. We look forward to seeing you here often.
