The Mercy Chronicle: Premier Issue

WestWind Pictures, in collaboration with the Bell Broadcast and New Media Fund and CBC Television, announces the creation of a large-scale interactive website supporting the hit series Little Mosque on the Prairie. The new site, currently being produced in collaboration with CBC and Jam3 Spy Interactive, will be launched alongside the season III premiere of Little Mosque on the Prairie on CBC Television on October 1, 2008.

Little Mosque on the Prairie has gained an enormous online presence over the years. WestWind Pictures has developed the new site in response. The site will feature extensive audio, video and gaming experiences, engaging viewers with the same quirky fun they've come to expect from the show. Rob Sockett, Head of Development at WestWind Pictures, and producer of the new site, remarks:

"We are excited to be working with CBC and the Bell Fund to produce a rich online experience. Our online fan-base has increased significantly over the past two years, and we have quite a few surprises in store for them!"

More details on the new interactive site including new features, games, contests, and prizes will be released in the coming weeks.

Each week's edition of the e-newsletter will feature an interview of those that work behind the scenes at Little Mosque on the Prairie. Each interviewee will be candid in describing their roles and experiences with the show.

With our first interview we take a look back to where it all began with executive producer Mary Darling, in conversation with Robert Gougeon, host of The Writer's café. The interview first aired on September 2007. In this interview, Mary speaks about the conception of Little Mosque on the Prairie, working with the creator Zarqa Nawaz, director Michael Kennedy and CBC Head of Comedy Anton Leo, the worldwide appeal of the show and finally tapping into the web.

The Facebook Little Mosque Trivia Challenge! We are pleased to announce a new online contest for our devoted fans starting August 12. Each week fans and members of the Facebook community will get an opportunity to answer questions and win "Little Mosque" prizes. Questions from the trivia challenge are directly related to the show and its characters.
