Edmonton's Mosquers Awards

The Edmonton Journal wrote on the Mosquers Awards, a grassroots mini-film-festival This year's awards will be judged by a celebrity panel headed by Little Mosque on the Prairie creator Zarqa Nawaz.
There have long been misconceptions about the Muslim world, portrayed in the West as decadent, violent, exotic and utterly "other." A group of young Edmonton Muslims wants to change that. Link

The mosquers is such a great way for the comunity of edmonton to come together and have a great time! It will be an event that will be looked forward to for years and years to come.

Nooo! I missed out on the Mosquers this year because I was off traveling. I've only heard great things about it though so well done Edmonton and the people who put it together!

the mosquers are a great way to bring the community together and to stop discrimination faced by muslims today.

I think that it is a great idea since everybody thinks us muslims are so bad and violent.
