Tonight is the night, When pumpkins stare
Through sheaves and leaves, Everywhere
When ghouls and ghost And goblin host
Dance round their queen, It's Halloween.
This is my absolute favourite time of year. For me, as a kid, hallowe'en was it. THE night of the year! And it seems that listener Vanessa from Brampton, Ontario feels the same way. She sent us an email saying, "there's a holiday coming up that is close to my heart: Hallowe'en. Please, please, PLEASE tell me that you're doing a special program to honour that day."
Well, Vanessa, we are. And this is it!
I'll play a classic Jerry Seinfeld clip, a decidedly creepy song from Stephen Lynch, and Fred Klett re-lives some of his more vivid hallowe'en memories. Plus, Mary Ellen Hooper, with a set that is not specifically flavoured with All Hallow's Eve, but it is about something equally as frightening: Parenthood.
I'll also be chatting to the moderator of our The List Of Laughs; Fluffee.
