This is not a competition, merely an examination and celebration of the differences in comedy on Canada's coasts!
Last week, you heard three comics from the west coast. This week, it's the east coast's turn in the spotlight!
You'll hear PEI's Patrick Ledwell, Halifax's Peter White, and Mark Critch from Newfoundland!
Easterners are known for their easy-going humour. There are differences, to be sure, between comedians on the coasts of Canada. Last week, the west coast comics had a decidedly laid back, almost laconic vibe to them. No less funny, but definitely not the same as east coasters.
Nor are the audiences the same. Perhaps it's because a lot of easterners are born and raised there, and westerners - by and large - are newer to that region.
I mean, one only has to travel from the east coast to the west coast of Canada to appreciate the arc of history. You can almost feel the country getting younger as you go!
Do you hear the differences? If you think your own research would be helped by hearing the shows back-to-back, that's easier to do than you think!
You can listen to these shows on demand.
While you're here, take a swing at the Get Lucky Contest Question for your chance to win a Laugh Out Loud prize pack!
Congratulations to this week's winner, Amy Andonian!
