Saturday, October 15th - "Comfort Comedy III"!

toddbutleroct15.jpgWhat a week this was, eh Canada? 6 provincial and territorial elections in 8 days, Air Canada's threatened strike, "Occupy Canada" protests are revving up, postal workers suing the government and who knows what else!?!

Makes it difficult to believe we made it to the weekend. But make it, we did, and we want to invite you in, put on some tea, stoke up a fire and sit down for at least a twenty seven and a half minute re-set with some comfort comedy. Some "us" time is in order. gerrydeeoct15.jpg

Some of this week's comedy may be familiar to you, yes...and some of it may be dated, yes...but like all good comedy I think it stands up to a repeated listen! Who among us hasn't worn out our Monty Python and George Carlin albums. Or to a lesser degree, our Erma Bombeck records.

C'mon! Admit it, you have a worn-out copy of Erma's "The Family That Plays Together... (Gets on Each Other's Nerves)" sitting in your basement.

OK, maybe I'm the only one. Nevermind.

You'll hear a musical number from Todd Butler and Gerry Dee expounds on the noble profession of teaching. And, to mark the CBC's 75th Anniversary, I'll go into the vaults to play some classic Madly Off In All Directions, with Lorne Elliott learning about Alberta from John Morgan as Mike from Canmore!

Don't forget that facebook is another destination for exclusive content like our Caption A Photo Contest with your chance to win an LOLmug!
