I learned over the holidays that Canadian comedian Jocko Alston passed away. I had the pleasure of working with Jocko several times over the years.  He was a gentle and generous man who wasn't afraid to talk about the things that mattered to him in his act, whether it was racists in Red Deer or his aversion to the idea of hockey....something about smacking the little black thing around the ice....!

Jocko kept in touch with me over the years so I was always getting updates on his life and of course the light of his llife - his daughter Presley.

In the weeks to come - Laugh Out Loud will replay Jocko Alston's comedy and we can all remember this funny, warm and loving man.
