Where Are The New Holiday "Classics"?

NEW OLD GRINCH.jpg

It's the most wonderful time of the year.

Holiday Specials on TV. Now, I'm not talking about full-on movies like "White Christmas", or "Miracle On 34th Street" or "It's A Wonderful Life". I'm thinking more of "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" or "A Charlie Brown Christmas" or "Rudolph", "Frosty", or any of the various and sundry Claymation specials...thing is, those were all made DECADES ago!

Where are the new ones?

This past weekend, I watched "Family Guy's Road To The North Pole". Pretty funny in a Family Guy way, but not "family" oriented at all. The Shrek franchise has a decent new special, too.

One of the best that I've run across in the past few years is "Olive, The Other Reindeer". It has an all-star cast and it's reminscent of those old holiday shows that I used to not be able to wait for as a kid!

Do you have a new favourite holiday special? Let's say it had to be made within the last decade.
