Just For Laughs is coming to Toronto again with everyone's favourite Canadian Russell Peters stepping in when it was announced that Gary Shandling had cancelled. Thrilled that Russell is coming to town - but it would have been great to see Gary. I got hooked on him when he had his own show - when was that? Back in the early 90's or something? I still remember and can sing the theme song! He was the master of perplexed expressions. I loved the plastic rubber plants on the "set" - and the booking boards - which are real by the way. I was at the Tonight Show taping when Russell Peters was on a couple of years ago - all I could think of was the Gary Shandling show. Somewhat serendipitous that Russ is now filling in.
