With the G-20 coming to Toronto, and the CBC being in the heart of Toronto and the epicentre of the Summit, guess who's going to get a daily pat down, retinal scan, and potential prostate exam? Me! And everyone else who works at the CBC according to the all-staff email that went out this week. We will be in the middle of the demarcation zone - the high security, and cordoned off area where all the World leaders will be hanging out, and planning our lives. As a result, a lot of events have been rescheduled or cancelled entirely. The Blue Jays moved their scheduled series with the Phillies (and Roy Halladay) from Toronto, where they expected over 90,000 fans, over to Philadelphia - and the Miss Cougar Canada pageant at Club 69 has been pushed into July! NOOOOO!!! Thankfully, I only have to come into the demarcation zone two days a week - so, to all the terror cells, militia groups, extreme green folk, government black ops, whatever, please avoid Wednesdays and Thursdays for starting Armageddon in Toronto. Rather, please avoid it altogether - we have a cougar pageant in July!
