Back in 1983, Dave Quinton and the Land and Sea crew travelled to Rigolet, on Labrador's north coast. There, they discovered an ancient Labrador craft. Grass work. The art of sewing wild, salt water grass into bowls, platters and baskets.
In Rigolet, there were still some who remembered the old craft...still some who sewed. And it seemed there was a growing interest in grass work among the young.
In this vintage Land and Sea program, you'll learn about a craft as old and as special as the Labrador coast itself.
