NunatuKaVut - Fishery

NunatuKaVut members have pulled in their fishing nets from Lake Melville for the season.
It’s the first season they’ve been officially allowed to fish there. DFO gave members a communal fishing license for Lake Melville in the spring. And that’s led to a happier relationship between NunatuKavut fishermen and the department. But there’s still work to be done. Jim Holwell is the Vice President of the NunatuKavut Community Council. He told John Gaudi how the fishing season went.
