Downside to new crab plant in Mary's Harbour

Most people in town had been waiting for the opening of the brand new…. multimillion dollar plant to process crab from 2-J. It’s the economic engine of the area, and this new facility is state of the art — meaning it’s more efficient. So efficient that when the season ended in July, employees hadn’t worked as many hours as they had in the past. Larry Rumbolt is the mayor in Mary’s Harbour. He spoke with CBC reporter Matt McCann.
