Concern about cuts to the 5 Wing Goose Bay weather office

Job cuts at the weather office at 5 Wing Goose Bay could have a ripple effect on the base. Four of the 6 people who work at the weather office will be laid off in April of 2014. The union who represents the employees says the remaining two staff members will not work evenings and weekends. That has Philip Earle concerned. He’s President and CEO of Air Labrador, and he spoke with CBC reporter Bailey White.
