Labrador Hydro Rate hike - Up 25 per cent ?

HydroLogo_01.jpgLabradorians, for the most part, are going to see a big jump in their electricity bills. Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro is looking to increase rates by 25 percent for most customers. Those residential customers will, if the rates are approved, see an increase from 3.9 cents a kilowatt hour to 4.9 cents. Customers on the island are seeing a slight decrease in rates to 12 cents a kilowatt hour. Reporters, including our own Peter Cowan, questioned Hydro Vice-President Rob Henderson about the rate application.
