Retracing the steps of Mina Hubbard

When Robert Irwin of Ontario and his cousin Reg Rothwell of Wyoming decided to retrace part of the Mina Hubbard expedition this summer, they had no idea they’d stumble upon what appears to be an actual artifact from her journey. But that’s exactly what happened. And now the extremely rare find is sitting in the museum in Northwest River. Robert and Reg stopped by our studio to talk with CBC Producer Jay Legere. They start off the conversation reading the official thank you letter from the Labrador Heritage Society.
