Photo Evac 3.jpg Chris Ensings photo of the Forest Fire raging just four and a half kilometres outside Wabush on Thursday night It’s going to be a busy, busy few days as Labradorians head out on the highway for the long weekend. The highway is still closed from Churchill to Wabush and Labrador City this morning due to that forest fire burning in Western Labrador. It’s now been five days since the fire started..
And no doubt there will be long line-ups as drivers wait to to see if they can get through the closed Trans Labrador Highway. To get an update on the situation this morning, Tony Dawson speaks with Labrador Morning’s Chris Ensing, he’s on location at the edge of Wabush and Eric Earle. He’s the provincial fire duty officer.
