Police find a stolen polar bear pelt
It was good news and bad news for Jim Shouse. Earlier this week an anonymous call came in to the RCMP in Happy Valley-Goose Bay…. telling them where officers could find a stolen polar bear pelt. The bear skin belonged to a hunter from Nain…. and was worth about ten thousand dollars. It was still curing outside of the Fur Harvesters Auction building on Hamilton River Road when thieves made off with it a few weeks ago. Well…. officers did find the pelt…. and returned it to Shouse. But it wasn’t what he was hoping to see. Here he is talking to Labrador Morning reporter Matt McCann.
