NunatuKavut - Complaint against the RCMP

Thumbnail image for Todd russell_arrested.jpg Eight members of the NunatuKavut community arrested at a Muskrat Falls protest last month are still waiting to appear in court on obstrutction charges. But in the meantime, a complaint has been filed against the RCMP. The NunatuKavut Community Council believes its members were targeted by officers….and is calling for an investigation. Letters of complaint have also been sent to the RCMP commissioner, the RCMP aboriginal advisory committee and Public Safety Minister Vic Toews. Todd Russell is the president of NunatuKavut….and he was one of the people arrested at the protest. He’s in the studio with Tony Dawson.
