Being seen at the Northern Scene

Over the next week, Aboriginal artists from all over Canada’s North will be strutting their stuff in the Nation’s Capital Northern Scene is the largest gathering of artists from Yukon, Nunavut, the Northwest Territories, Nunavik and Nunatsiavut ever presented outside the north. From fashion to film to food, the event covers it all, including a special section on visual arts. That’s where people can find Shirley Moorehouse, Inuit artist from Happy Valley-Goose Bay. This morning she’s up bright and early on the phone from Ottawa to talk about the importance of the Northern Scene.
