Snowmobilers taking big chances on thin ice
Reporter Mike Power thought he was going to witness a tragedy the other day. A very young person came out of the woods on a snowmobile and crossed the thin ice and about forty feet of open water at the narrows on little Wabush lake . It’s the time of the year when many people do this just for a thrill. Mike went back to the area where he saw that happen, with Sgt. Ryan Wentzell of the Labrador West detatchment of the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary to talk about skipping, and the dangers it involves.
