We're sorry - Nalcor apologizes to Innu for racist comment

Two Innu workers at the Muskrat Falls site say they heard a manager last Tuesday hurl a racial slur towards Innu. Once word got out, protesters mobilized and took over the site; all work was stopped. They demanded the manager be fired. By Friday, Nalcor’s top officials were in Happy Valley Goose Bay for an emergency meeting with leaders of the Innu Nation. The end result…both sides shake hands and the manager accused of making the racial slur is gone. For more on this story we have Gilbert Bennett on the line. He is vice president of the Lower Churchill Project.
