Labrador By-election - Russell NOT Running

Harry won over last night an online vote for card holders. The 30 year old spent his first three year of life in Nain, and grew up in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Now he’s about to enter one of the most anticipated federal by-elections canada has seen in years. With more on how he plans to win, we have Harry on the phone with us from Gatineau

Todd Rusell, the former Liberal MP, was narrowly beaten by Peter Penashue in the last federal election and he has been waiting for the perfect time to announce his intentions… and that time was Monday morning on Labrador Morning. Todd Russell is here in the studio this morning with the answer many have been waiting for, He’s not running for the Liberal Nomination.

Elizabeth May says her party won’t run a candidate in the by-election for Peter Penashue’s Labrador seat. Critics fear this tactic could lead to an unfair lack of options for voters. But the Green Party leader says the move will rally support for Liberals and put them in a better position to defeat Penashue.
