IOC workers question why work is now to be done by workers from Quebec
Some employees from Labrador West working for the Iron ore company of Canada are wondering why their work assignments were recently changed. The men say they will no longer be doing track maintenance and snow clearance for a part of the railway yard they’ve been working at for years. They say the work will now be done by workers from Quebec. Two of the workers visited our studio in Labrador City yesterday to outline their concerns to CBC’s Mike Power. For the Iron Ore Company of Canada’s Colleen Connors speaks with Heather Bruce-Veitch, manager of External relations for IOC.
