Sarah Leo - In Kuujjuaq Quebec

Thumbnail image for Thumbnail image for Sarah Leo_president.jpg Nunatsiavut President Sarah Leo The President of Nunatsiavut told Labrador Morning this week that she was going to ask other aboriginal groups in Labrador and Quebec to stop hunting the George River Caribou herd for at least a year. Leo is at an aboriginal summit in Kuujjuaq Quebec. About 50 people are gathered there to talk about the decling George River herd. And when handed the mic for her opening remarks…Leo didn’t hold back. She’s also asking for the provincial governments to step up their game. Here’s some of what she had to say.
